Guidelines for longevity

Material Temp Washing Drying Storage
Natural Cotton
30°C / 86°F Hand wash only. No soaking. Horizontal flat dry Store folded only.
Fine Mohair
25°C / 77°F Gently press water. Do not scrub. Flat dry + Soft brush Store folded.
Cotton Blend
30°C / 86°F Mild detergent. No pilling agitation. Horizontal flat dry Store folded.
Important: Do NOT tumble dry. Do NOT hang vertically while wet. These actions will cause irreversible shrinking or stretching of the fibers.

Always store folded to prevent loss of shape

Knitwear Longevity Guide

The physics of fibers: why your drying method defines the life of your garment.

100% Natural Cotton

Correct

Horizontal Drying

Preserves stitch density and prevents fiber elongation.

Incorrect

Vertical Hanging

Gravity drags wet fibers down, leading to permanent stretching.

The Science

Water breaks hydrogen bonds in cellulose. Since cotton absorbs up to 27x its weight, hanging forces fibers to lock into a stretched state permanently as they dry, destroying the fit.

100% Fine Mohair

Correct

Flat Air Drying

Protects the delicate halo and maintains natural volume.

Incorrect

Hanging While Wet

Weight causes the fluffy texture to collapse and matte down.

The Science

Mohair scales open when wet. Hanging compresses the loft. Once dried in a stretched state, the iconic "cloud" effect is lost, leaving the garment thin and lifeless.

Cotton & Mohair Blend

Correct

Flat Drying Only

Balanced support for both heavy cotton and fragile mohair.

Incorrect

Vertical Hanging

Cotton acts as a weight, dragging mohair fibers into distortion.

The Science

Cotton acts as a mechanical anchor, pulling weakened mohair loops. This results in thinned-out geometry and a distorted silhouette that no steaming can restore.
